Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Hajj, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, said that after organizing the entry system through the Nusuk App, the number of daily permits for visiting Riyaz-ul-Jannah in Masjid-e-Nabawi has grown from 7,000 to 54,000 over the past three years.
According to the Saudi news agency, the Minister explained that the Ministry has started the second phase of using artificial intelligence to improve the quality of services in the Hajj and Umrah sector. The Nusuk Portal has also been upgraded to make services smoother and easier for pilgrims coming from all over the world.
The Ministry of Hajj stated that Saudi Arabia is among the top countries in providing digital services in both the government and private sectors. These improvements have made the Hajj and Umrah experience much more comfortable for visitors.
The Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, Saleh Al-Jasser, said that digital transformation is now a key need for development and innovation. He shared that the Ministry is using modern technologies to make transportation and logistics services even better.
He also mentioned the driverless car project in Saudi Arabia, calling it a great example of modern technology. So far, about 1,000 people have used this service successfully.
Meanwhile, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Al-Khorayef, shared that new technology is also being used in the mining sector. This has not only made mining easier but also helped protect the environment at the same time.
