Big News for Pakistani Pilgrims Traveling to Iran

There’s great news for people traveling from Pakistan to Iran. Iran Air has decided to start flight operations for Pakistan. The airline has officially announced the launch of flights between Mashhad and Lahore.

According to ARY News, Iran Air will operate one weekly flight to Lahore, and the regular service will begin from October 29.

On the other hand, Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has given Serene Air conditional permission to operate flights for two weeks. These flights will only bring back passengers stuck in Jeddah.

A CAA spokesperson said that Serene Air has been allowed to operate flights only to bring back Pakistanis who are stranded in Jeddah. The airline will also be able to bring back its aircraft that got stuck there. However, Serene Air is not allowed to start any international flight operations for now.

The Civil Aviation Authority had earlier suspended Serene Air’s Air Operator Certificate because the airline violated some regulatory rules. The CAA also ordered the airline to return its Air Operator Certificate, saying that Serene Air had failed to follow the required flight operation standards.

In response, Serene Air’s management said that one of their aircraft was grounded in Saudi Arabia after a bird hit, and they only want permission to bring back the passengers who are still stuck there.
