Lahore: The Punjab government has announced a new internship program for young graduates and intermediate students. Under this program, students will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 55,000 to Rs 65,000, depending on their qualification.
According to details, the Punjab government has approved an internship package worth more than Rs 4.21 billion for college interns. Through this program, over 8,000 intern teachers across the province will get financial support.
The main purpose of this project is to help young graduates and intermediate students gain real teaching experience in colleges so they can build strong professional skills for the future.
Stipend Details:
Intermediate-level interns will get Rs 55,000 per month for 7 months, while BS-level interns will get Rs 65,000 per month for 10 months. After completing the internship, all participants will receive experience certificates to improve their professional profiles and job opportunities.
Participation and Reserved Seats:
To ensure equal opportunities, the government has reserved 404 seats for minorities, 243 seats for differently-abled persons, and 40 seats for the transgender community under this program.
Funds Distribution:
A total of Rs 4.217 billion has been allocated for this internship program. The money will be used for stipends and administrative expenses.
According to the Punjab government, this monthly stipend will help reduce financial problems for students, motivate them to take part in teaching activities, and prepare them for long-term educational careers.
