Lahore: The Punjab government has announced a new internship program for young graduates and intermediate students. Under this plan, participants will get a monthly stipend ranging from Rs. 55,000 to Rs. 65,000.
According to details, the Punjab government has approved a financial package of over Rs. 4.21 billion for college teaching interns. Through this plan, more than 8,000 interns across the province will receive financial support.
The main goal of this program is to give young graduates and intermediate students a chance to gain real teaching experience in colleges.
Stipend Details
Intermediate-level interns will receive Rs. 55,000 per month for seven months, while BS-level interns will receive Rs. 65,000 per month for ten months. After completing the internship, all participants will also get an experience certificate, which will help them in their professional careers and future job opportunities.
Seats and Inclusion
To make the program fair and inclusive, 404 seats are reserved for minorities, 243 seats for differently-abled individuals, and 40 seats for transgender persons.
Fund Allocation
A total of Rs. 4.217 billion has been set aside for this program. These funds will cover the stipends and administrative expenses.
According to the Punjab government, this internship will help reduce financial problems for students, encourage them to take part in teaching activities, and prepare them for long-term academic careers.
