Lahore: People who were struggling to get or renew their driving licenses now have a much easier way to do it, thanks to the new Mobile Police Station and Licensing Unit.
According to details, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif officially launched the province’s first Mobile Police Station and Licensing Unit project. During the opening ceremony, the Chief Minister visited different sections of the unit and met with the staff working there.
The new mobile police station will offer many services to citizens, including registering FIRs, issuing new driving licenses, and renewing old ones.
This modern unit will also provide facilities for learner licenses, regular licenses, international licenses, and women’s licenses all in one place.
At the event, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz handed over the keys of the mobile police station and licensing unit to the concerned officers. She also advised the staff to always treat the public with kindness and respect.
She received a detailed briefing about how the new system will work and said that this project is a revolutionary step to bring police and licensing services directly to people’s doorsteps.
Officials added that these mobile police stations will also visit girls’ education centers, workplaces for women, and far-off areas, making services more accessible and saving people time and effort.
