Clear Evidence Emerges of Afghan Soil Being Used in Terror Activities in Pakistan

(20 February 2026): New and serious evidence has come forward showing the use of Afghan soil and the involvement of Afghan nationals in the recent wave of terrorism in Pakistan.

According to an investigation report, the suicide attack that took place on February 16 at the Malangi Post in Bajaur was carried out by an Afghan citizen. The attacker was identified as Khariji Ahmad, also known as Qari Abdullah Abu Zar.

The terrorist belonged to Afghanistan’s Balkh province and was reportedly a former member of the Afghan Taliban’s special forces. In this tragic attack, 11 security personnel and 2 innocent civilians lost their lives.

Security sources stated that many terrorist incidents in Pakistan are linked to elements operating from across the border. These links, according to officials, suggest alleged support and safe havens being provided to militants under the Taliban regime.

Recent records show that several attacks over the past year had connections to Afghanistan. On February 6, a bomber who attacked in the Tarlai area of Islamabad was reportedly trained in Afghanistan. Similarly, the attackers involved in the November 11, 2025 assault on the Islamabad Judicial Complex were also said to have Afghan links.

On November 24, the terrorists who targeted FC Headquarters in Peshawar were reportedly connected to groups operating from across the border. In addition, Afghan nationals were found involved in attacks on the DI Khan Police Training Center and Wana Cadet College.

Investigations also revealed that the March 4, 2025 Bannu Cantonment attack was allegedly planned inside Afghanistan. On October 19, 2025, a suicide bomber named Naimatullah, arrested from South Waziristan, was identified as a resident of Kandahar province in Afghanistan.

Furthermore, on March 11, 2025, it was revealed that facilitators of the Jaffar Express attack were in continuous contact with Khariji Noor Wali, who was reportedly hiding in Afghanistan.

All these findings indicate that Afghan territory and resources are allegedly being used to fuel unrest and instability in Pakistan.
