Rawalpindi: Security forces have stopped an attempt by militants to enter Pakistan from the Afghan border and arrested 5 suspected suicide attackers, as Reported By Save Our Pak News Channel on Saturday.
According to details, the infiltration attempt was made from the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, but security forces acted quickly and arrested 5 people linked to the plan.
Security sources said that on July 17 at around 5 PM, militants tried to cross the border into Pakistan. As soon as forces received the alert, they set up checkpoints at 5 different points to block the way.
The sources added that at 6:25 PM, the militants managed to enter Pakistan and started moving towards Aziz Khail and Mandi Khail. When they saw security forces nearby, they took shelter in Basi Khail.
Officials said the security forces acted fast, surrounded the area, and used a smart strategy, which forced the militants to surrender without a fight. The arrested men are Afghan nationals, and 3 of them had Afghan ID cards.
According to sources, the arrested suspects are between 15 and 18 years old. All of them have been moved to an undisclosed location for further investigation. Meanwhile, security forces have continued search operations in border areas.
The report also mentioned that in North Waziristan, security forces killed 71 militants between April 25 and 27. On July 4, they killed 30 India-backed militants, and on March 23, 2025, another 16 militants were killed while trying to cross the border.
