CSS Exam Results Announced, What Was the Success Rate?

Islamabad (October 15, 2025): The results of the Central Superior Services (CSS) competitive exams for recruitment in Grade 17 have been officially announced.

The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) released the results of the CSS exams held for Grade 17 recruitment. According to the report, only 2.48% of the candidates managed to pass the exam.

A total of 15,602 candidates from across the country appeared for the CSS written examination, but only 397 were able to pass.

During the interview stage, 10 more candidates failed, leaving only 387 successful candidates in the final list. Out of these, 207 are male and 180 are female candidates.

The FPSC has recommended 119 male and 110 female candidates for appointment in various federal departments.

It is important to note that the CSS examination is held to select talented and capable individuals for BPS-17 positions in the civil services. Successful candidates are appointed to 12 different occupational groups under the federal government.

Those who clear this competitive exam get a chance to serve in top institutions such as the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS), Pakistan Customs, Foreign Service of Pakistan (FSP), and Police Service of Pakistan (PSP), among others.
