Security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation in D.I. Khan, during which 22 militants belonging to the group “Fitna al-Hindustan” were killed.
According to ISPR, the operation was launched after receiving confirmed intelligence about the presence of extremists. During the action, all 22 militants—described as members of “Fitna al-Khawarij”—were neutralised.
ISPR added that a search operation is still underway in the surrounding area to ensure no other suspects are hiding nearby.
The military spokesperson said that under Operation Azm-e-Istehkam, Pakistan’s security forces remain fully determined to eliminate terrorism from the country and will continue actions until complete peace is restored.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the forces for successfully taking down the 22 militants. He said the security forces are achieving major victories in the fight against terrorism and that the nation stands united with Pakistan Army in this struggle.
The Prime Minister added that the armed forces are committed to wiping out every form of terrorism from Pakistan.
