Day Turned Into Night in Swat After Heavy Rain and Hailstorm

In an unexpected weather twist, daytime in Swat suddenly turned dark like night after a powerful rain and hailstorm hit the region. The sudden change shocked people as heavy rain and strong winds disrupted daily life.

According to local reports, the weather in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has completely changed. Several areas experienced the first snowfall of the season along with continuous heavy rain, which increased the cold across the province.

In Swat valley, dark clouds covered the sky, turning day into night. Many areas were covered with white hail as thunder and lightning filled the air. Roads looked like they were covered with a white carpet made of ice, creating both a beautiful and chaotic scene.

In Lower Dir, a large amount of hail also fell, turning the streets white. Locals described it as “white pearls falling from the sky,” creating a magical sight.

Meanwhile, heavy rain also hit Buner, and in Malakand, water covered the streets and low-lying areas due to nonstop rainfall. The situation caused difficulties for travelers and local residents.

The Meteorological Department said that the rain spell started on the night of November 3rd and is expected to continue till November 5th. Snowfall is likely in Gilgit-Baltistan, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, and Mansehra, while light rain is expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Attock, and Jhelum.

In Islamabad and Rawalpindi, the thunder and rain have already lowered the temperature, bringing a cool and refreshing change.

The department also advised farmers to be careful while harvesting crops and warned tourists to stay safe while visiting snowy areas. It further issued an alert about the possibility of landslides in some upper regions.
