During Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s speech in the provincial assembly, opposition members created chaos by shouting slogans and tearing agenda papers. In response, the Speaker of the Punjab Assembly, Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan, suspended 26 PTI members for 15 assembly sessions, as Reported By Save Our Pak News Channel On Saturday.
This incident took place during Friday’s Punjab Assembly session. As Maryam Nawaz began her address, PTI members started a strong protest. They gathered around the speaker’s desk, raised loud slogans, and created a noisy environment. Things got even worse when they tore copies of the assembly agenda.
There were also moments of tension between government and opposition members. Some even got into physical scuffles during the disturbance. The situation quickly turned serious as both sides clashed in the house.
Due to the aggressive behavior, the Speaker took strict action. He suspended 26 PTI members and banned them from attending 15 upcoming assembly sessions. He said that breaking the rules and creating such disorder inside the assembly will not be tolerated.
According to the Speaker, the dignity and discipline of the house must always be protected. He made it clear that the assembly is a place for respectful discussion, not chaos and misbehavior.
