Islamabad (27 July 2025): The police have shared shocking new details in the case of 50 donkeys and 25 mounds (approximately 1,000 kg) of meat found in the capital city, as Reported By Save Our Pak News Channel on Monday.
According to police officials, the donkey hides were being sent to Gwadar and then exported to other countries. The arrested foreign national had recently arrived in Pakistan on a 90-day visa.
Police said that the donkeys were brought from different areas of Punjab by various people who ran away from the scene. The place where the meat was being processed is owned by a foreigner who is currently out of the country.
The police also mentioned that the language barrier is making the investigation difficult. Even though a translator was brought in, the arrested man still couldn’t give useful information.
Yesterday, the Islamabad Food Authority raided the site and found more than 50 live donkeys and around 25 mounds of meat. One foreign citizen was arrested during the raid. The meat was reportedly being supplied to hotels near Tarnol.
The Deputy Director of the Food Authority said that they are still investigating where this meat was sent.
He also said that the foreigner present at the scene was handed over to the police. Officials are also looking into whether the meat was meant for the foreign nationals’ own use.
The Food Authority immediately ordered a case to be filed against those involved, and all the meat was destroyed on the spot.
