Karachi (November 1, 2025): A major decision has been made across Sindh, including Karachi, to take strict action against cars being driven without number plates.

Inspector General (IG) Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon has sent an urgent letter to the concerned officers, ordering them to take immediate action against all vehicles running without number plates in the province.

In the letter, the IG Sindh directed the officials to identify all such vehicles on the roads and take strict action under the Motor Vehicle Ordinance laws. He also instructed them to start a crackdown to ensure full enforcement of the law.

Ghulam Nabi Memon further said that daily reports must be submitted, mentioning how many vehicles were seized, how many cases were filed, and how many people were arrested. The letter has also been sent to the Additional IG, all DIGs, and SSPs across Sindh.
