Lahore: Schools in Lahore have been closed earlier than usual, and parents are being informed by school administrations about the decision.
According to details, the District Education Authority Lahore has ordered all government and private schools in the city to give students an early leave.
The authority has also instructed school heads to call parents immediately and let them know so they can pick up their children from school without delay.
The official notification stated that this decision was made due to the current city conditions and security situation.
The District Education Authority also directed all school heads to strictly follow these administrative orders and make sure everything is handled properly.
Meanwhile, in Islamabad, school attendance has been much lower than usual today, as many students could not reach their schools.
The reason behind this situation is the religious group’s march taking place in Lahore. Because of the march, entry and exit routes of the city have been completely closed. Heavy police and security forces have been deployed at key points, including Ravi Bridge, Saggian, Babu Sabu, and Thokar Niaz Baig.
Due to road closures, there are long traffic jams in different parts of the city, and citizens are facing a lot of problems while traveling.
Sources also said that the motorway from Lahore to Islamabad has been closed for traffic, and the Islamabad to Lahore route is also blocked for now.
