Explosion Near Police Vehicle in Lakki Marwat, SHO Among 7 Policemen Martyred

Lakki Marwat (March 13, 2026): A powerful explosion targeted a police vehicle in the tribal subdivision of Lakki Marwat district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The blast resulted in the martyrdom of seven police officers, including the Station House Officer (SHO), while one officer was injured.

According to police sources, the incident happened when a police vehicle was on routine patrol in the area. Suddenly, an improvised explosive device (IED) planted along the roadside exploded through remote control.

The explosion was extremely strong and badly damaged the police vehicle. Several officers inside the vehicle were martyred on the spot. Among those who lost their lives was the SHO of the area.

After receiving information about the incident, a large number of police personnel and rescue teams rushed to the site. The bodies of the martyred officers and the injured official were shifted to a nearby hospital for further procedures.

Security forces have sealed the area and launched a search operation to find the people responsible for the attack. So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the explosion.

Meanwhile, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi strongly condemned the attack and paid tribute to the brave officers who were martyred, including the SHO.

Mohsin Naqvi expressed deep sympathy and condolences to the families of the martyrs. He said that the courageous policemen of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa sacrificed their lives today for the peaceful future of the nation. He added that the police officers and soldiers have made unforgettable sacrifices in the fight against terrorism, and the nation will always remember the martyrs with pride.
