Karachi (July 24, 2025): The price of gold in Pakistan saw a big drop today, as Reported By Save Our Pak News Channel on Thursday.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, after a major decrease in the international market, gold prices in Pakistan have also gone down.
After the global rate fell, the price of gold per tola in Pakistan dropped by Rs. 5,900, making the new rate Rs. 359,000 per tola.
The association also said that the price of 10 grams of gold fell by Rs. 5,058, bringing it down to Rs. 307,784. Meanwhile, in the international market, gold fell by 61 dollars, and is now at $3,363 per ounce.
It is important to note that buying gold is traditionally considered a safe investment. Its price usually rises during times of inflation, political issues, and economic uncertainty.
Gold has been used as currency and wealth for centuries. When investors feel uncertain about other assets, they often buy gold as a safe option.
Last year, the method of setting gold prices in Pakistan was changed. Now, the local rate is fixed at $20 higher per ounce than the international market rate.
