People in Karachi may get relief as electricity prices could go down by Rs. 4.69 per unit. This would be a big relief for many consumers during these hot summer days, as Reported By Save Our Pak News Channel On Thursday.
K-Electric has submitted a request to NEPRA to reduce electricity rates. The company asked for this reduction under the April monthly fuel adjustment.
NEPRA (National Electric Power Regulatory Authority) will review K-Electric’s request in a hearing scheduled for June 19. If the request gets approved, customers could receive a total relief of more than Rs. 7.17 billion.
The final decision will be made after NEPRA checks all the data and completes the hearing process.
