Islamabad: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Coordinator Ikhtiyar Wali Khan has said that the government is now considering transferring the PTI founder to a jail in another province.
During a press conference in Islamabad, the Prime Minister’s Coordinator for Information strongly criticized PTI and its recent actions.
He said that the government is reviewing a proposal to move the PTI founder, Imran Khan, to another province because daily PTI protests outside Adiala Jail have made life difficult for the public. According to him, the party insists that prisoner number 804 should be shifted to a different jail.
Ikhtiyar Wali Khan accused PTI of pushing an agenda that creates instability in the country. He said the party is trying to spread chaos and disorder under the name of protests.
He added that PTI is damaging the country’s reputation and growth, while trying to mislead young people for political gain.
Praising Pakistan’s armed forces, he said the military has raised the country’s image globally and stood by nations like Iran and Qatar during difficult times.
Ikhtiyar Wali further said that religion is being used as a political tool, and PTI leaders are using faith as a weapon to promote their politics.
Speaking about PTI’s previous government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, he claimed that not a single university or hospital was built in 13 years, nothing meaningful was done for the public, and even two ministers’ vehicles were seized in drug-related cases.
The Prime Minister’s Coordinator said the provincial government has become a supporter of militant groups, and all doors for dialogue with the PTI founder are now closed.
He added that there must now be a clear line between those who stand with Pakistan and those who work against it. According to him, PTI attacked state institutions, wants to portray itself as political victims, and continues to harm the country.
Ikhtiyar Wali Khan also said that incidents like May 9 and November 26 show PTI’s damaging role, and claimed that many of the party’s social media accounts are being operated from India and Israel.
