Heavy Rain Brings Pleasant Weather to Makkah and Madinah

Riyadh: Heavy rainfall in Makkah and Madinah, along with nearby areas, has made the weather cool and pleasant across Saudi Arabia.

According to reports from Saudi media, rain continued to fall heavily in Makkah while Umrah pilgrims kept performing Tawaf without stopping. Despite the rain, worshippers stayed focused on their prayers and religious activities.

Reports also say that both Masjid al-Haram and Masjid an-Nabawi received heavy rainfall, which many people described as a blessing. Pilgrims remained busy in worship and showed strong devotion even during the rain.

Many visitors thanked Allah for the rainfall and called it a sign of mercy. At the same time, lightning strikes near the Makkah Clock Tower were captured on camera, creating powerful and beautiful scenes.

It is important to note that Saudi Arabia’s moon-sighting committee has announced that Eid ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Friday, March 20.

Earlier, the Saudi Supreme Court had requested citizens to look for the new moon. The court asked anyone who sees the moon with the naked eye or through binoculars to report their sighting to the nearest court.

Citizens were also advised to contact local authorities to help record their testimony properly.
