How many days will schools open per week from April 1? Big announcement made

Lahore: A major decision has been announced regarding the reopening of educational institutions. Schools, colleges, and universities will now operate five days a week.

According to details, the Punjab government has decided to reopen all educational institutions from April 1 after they were temporarily closed due to the fuel crisis and economic pressure.

Punjab’s Education Minister, Rana Sikandar Hayat, clearly stated that all classes will now be conducted physically. There will be no permission for online or hybrid learning systems.

He further said that all institutions must follow a proper five-day schedule for teaching. Any suggestion to keep schools open for only three or four days will not be accepted.

The Education Minister also advised students to focus seriously on their studies so they can cover the learning loss caused during the holidays.

It is important to note that on March 9, the Punjab government had announced the closure of all schools, colleges, and universities across the province.

This decision was taken after global oil prices increased due to tensions in the Middle East and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. As a result, petrol and diesel prices in Pakistan rose by about 20 percent.

Students remained on holidays from March 10 to March 31, which lasted around 20 days. During this period, the education system continued through online classes.
