Islamabad: There is good news for the public as fuel prices are expected to decrease from December 16. According to initial estimates, petroleum products may become cheaper by up to Rs 11.85 per liter.
Sources told ARY News that early calculations for reducing fuel prices have been completed. Petrol is expected to become cheaper by 36 paisas per liter, while high-speed diesel may see a significant cut of Rs 11.85 per liter.
Similarly, kerosene oil is likely to become cheaper by Rs 11.70 per liter, and light diesel oil may see a reduction of Rs 10.01 per liter.
After the proposed reduction, the new price of petrol is expected to be Rs 263.09 per liter, while high-speed diesel may be priced at Rs 270.80 per liter.
The price of kerosene oil is likely to drop to Rs 181.16 per liter, and light diesel oil may be sold at Rs 153.76 per liter after the decrease.
OGRA will send its final price recommendations on December 15. After approval from the Prime Minister, the Petroleum Division will officially announce the new fuel prices.
