The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially announced the Team of the Tournament for the 2026 World Cup, highlighting the best performers of the event.
Among the selected players is Pakistan’s opening batsman Sahibzada Farhan, who had an outstanding tournament. He scored more than 300 runs in total, including two impressive centuries, which helped him secure a place in the team.
South Africa’s Aiden Markram has been named the captain of the team, while his teammate Lungi Ngidi has also been included for his strong bowling performance.
Several players from India have also made it into the squad. Sanju Samson, who was named Player of the Tournament, is part of the lineup along with Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya, and Jasprit Bumrah.
From England, Will Jacks and Adil Rashid earned spots in the team due to their consistent performances during the competition.
Meanwhile, Jason Holder from the West Indies and Blessing Muzarabani from Zimbabwe were also selected for their impactful contributions.
In addition, Shedley van Schalkwyk from the United States has been included as the 12th player in the Team of the Tournament.
