The Saudi authorities have made an important announcement for people living in Taif. The Aqbah Al-Hada Road will remain closed in both directions from Monday to Wednesday (November 10 to 12) for maintenance work.
According to Saudi news agencies, the Special Force for Road Security said the road will stay closed for three days — from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
Officials explained that this closure is to ensure the safety of travelers while maintenance work is being carried out.
Earlier this year, in January, the General Authority of Roads had also temporarily closed Al-Hada Road for almost two months for similar maintenance activities.
It is important to note that there are two main routes to reach Taif. One is a mountain road with sharp turns, while the other route, known as Al-Sail Al-Kabeer, is relatively straight and mostly used by heavy traffic.
