Karachi: The Meteorological Department has said that sea breezes in Karachi are still suspended, and the city is expected to stay hot throughout the day.
According to the Met Department, the weather in Karachi is partly cloudy, and there are chances of light drizzle today. The minimum temperature recorded in the city was 26.5°C.
The statement added that the current temperature in Karachi is 28°C, while the humidity level in the air is around 86%.
Today, the maximum temperature in the city is expected to reach 34°C.
Sixth Alert from the Tropical Cyclone Warning Center
The Tropical Cyclone Warning Center of the Met Department has issued its sixth alert.
It said that a depression in the Arabian Sea has now turned into a tropical storm. The storm system is currently located about 360 kilometers south of Karachi and may strengthen into a severe cyclone within the next 24 hours.
The Met Department has warned that Sindh and Balochistan could experience rain with thunder and lightning. In Karachi, rain is expected in some areas today and tomorrow.
Wind speeds near the coastal areas of Sindh may reach 40 to 50 km/h, and fishermen have been advised not to go into deep sea on October 5.
Near the center of the storm, wind speeds could reach up to 125 km/h, and the sea conditions in the Arabian Sea are expected to remain very dangerous until October 6.
