Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said that India cannot force its decisions on Pakistan, and it should rethink its current policies, as Reported By Save Our Pak News Channel On Monday.
While speaking at the Foundation Day event of the Institute of Strategic Studies in Islamabad, Ishaq Dar said that India tried to attack Pakistan by hiding behind false flag operations, but Pakistan gave a quick and strong response. He also said that India made up a fake drama about the Pulwama incident, and now it’s time India reviewed its actions.
He made it clear that Pakistan is fully committed to protecting its sovereignty and regional peace. He repeated that India cannot make Pakistan accept its choices, and that India has no right to cancel the Indus Waters Treaty on its own. He accused India of trying to use water as a weapon.
The Deputy Prime Minister also spoke about Kashmir, calling it an internationally recognized issue. He said solving it through peaceful means would help bring peace to the whole region. He also said that India is breaking international laws, while Pakistan follows the principle of peaceful co-existence.
Talking about global issues, Ishaq Dar said that Pakistan welcomed the ceasefire between Iran and Israel, and has always supported Iran’s legal stance. He also said the nuclear issue of Iran should be solved through dialogue. He strongly condemned the violence in Gaza, calling it brutal and inhuman, and expressed concern over the ongoing crisis in the Middle East.
