Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman had an important meeting in Jeddah with Iran’s Foreign Minister Dr. Abbas Araghchi, as Reported By Save Our Pak News Channel on Wednesday.
According to a report by an Arab news agency, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that both leaders reviewed their bilateral relations and discussed the recent developments in the region and efforts being made to address them.
In a statement shared by the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs on X, the Crown Prince said he hopes the recent ceasefire between Iran and Israel will help bring peace and stability to the region.
He also stressed that Saudi Arabia has always supported peaceful solutions and believes in solving problems through diplomatic talks.
Iranian Foreign Minister Dr. Abbas Araghchi appreciated Saudi Arabia’s stance on condemning Israeli aggression and praised the Crown Prince’s efforts to promote peace and security in the region.
Reports say this important meeting was also attended by Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman and Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan. On the Iranian side, Iran’s Defense Minister was also present with their Foreign Minister.
It is worth noting that last month, on June 13, Israel carried out airstrikes on Iran. In those attacks, several Iranian commanders and nuclear scientists were killed.
During the conflict, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and the Defense Minister had even threatened to assassinate Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei.
Later, after global powers and U.S. President Trump intervened, a ceasefire was established between the two countries. After that, Israel claimed that it had completely destroyed Iran’s nuclear capabilities.
At the same time, the U.S. also claimed to have destroyed three of Iran’s nuclear facilities, saying that Iran could no longer build atomic bombs.
However, Iranian officials and the IAEA denied these claims and said that Iran still has enriched uranium.
