Earlier, Iran’s state media quoted the Speaker of Parliament, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, saying that they were working on a law to stop cooperation with the IAEA until Iran receives a clear and professional guarantee from the agency. He added that Iran will not cooperate until the international body behaves properly.
The head of Iran’s foreign policy committee, Abbas Golroo, also spoke on this issue. He said that Iran has the legal right to leave the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). He explained that Article 10 of the treaty allows this. His statement came after the U.S. carried out attacks on three of Iran’s nuclear facilities.
Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that Iran will never give up its nuclear technology. He said Iran has worked very hard to achieve this progress. He explained that the country faced war and pressure in the name of nuclear weapons, and many scientists even gave their lives for this goal. Now, the people of Iran are even more determined to continue their nuclear program, despite all the hardships they have faced.
