Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said that the attack on US bases in Qatar was not a small incident, and such action can happen again in the future, as Reported By Save Our Pak News Channel on Saturday.
According to international news sources, Ayatollah Khamenei stated that Iran has the ability to reach US bases if needed.
Earlier, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said in his statement that if the United States corrects its mistakes, talks between both countries can restart.
In an interview with a French newspaper, Abbas Araghchi said that Iran is ready to begin talks with the US based on mutual respect. However, the US must give a clear guarantee that it will not attack Iran during the negotiations. He added that if the US corrects its behavior, discussions can move forward.
He also said that Iran has the right to ask for compensation after assessing the damage to its nuclear facilities. He blamed the US for breaking the talks and starting the attacks, saying it’s now necessary for America to accept responsibility for its mistakes. He confirmed that recent US attacks have caused damage to Iran’s nuclear program.
The Iranian Foreign Minister further said that believing Iran can be forced to stop its peaceful nuclear plans is a big misunderstanding. The Iranian nuclear program is a national asset and cannot be easily given up.
He also mentioned that diplomacy is a two-way process. Iran is working with friendly countries and mediators to create a diplomatic hotline for better communication.
