Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar said that we should believe Hamas will not reject the Palestine peace agreement.
While talking to the media in Islamabad, Ishaq Dar explained that talks with Hamas were already happening. He added that he does not think Hamas will oppose the deal.
He said Palestine has welcomed the 21-point plan, which is made for peace, security, and stability. The main goal of the plan is to bring peace and balance to the region.
Ishaq Dar said Pakistan has always supported the two-state solution. He added that eight countries have given their commitment to the 21-point plan. According to him, world leaders worked with full sincerity to make it successful. Some people are opposing the plan for politics, but the people of Palestine are ready to accept it.
The Deputy Prime Minister further said that a lot of hard work has been done behind this agreement. Many rounds of consultation took place before reaching the plan, which will allow the formation of a technocrat government in Palestine.
He also shared that Indonesia has promised to send 20,000 personnel for peacekeeping forces. Pakistan will also make its own decision on joining the peacekeeping mission. He added that Pakistan’s policy on Palestine is very clear, and under this peace agreement, the West Bank will not be included in Israel.
Finally, Ishaq Dar said that the United States was included in the deal so it can ensure the peace agreement is properly implemented.
