Tel Aviv (February 28, 2026): Israel has carried out a direct military strike on Iran, causing serious tension across the region.
The Israeli Defense Minister officially confirmed that Israel has started attacks on Iranian targets. In his statement, he said the action was taken in response to ongoing threats and security concerns coming from Iran. He described it as a defensive move to protect Israel’s safety.
Soon after the strikes began, emergency sirens sounded in several Israeli cities. Authorities immediately issued safety instructions and advised citizens to move to secure locations and underground shelters due to the risk of retaliation.
According to international media reports, Israel has placed its security forces on high alert. The country’s defense systems have been fully activated to respond to any possible counterattack.
Iranian media outlets reported that Israeli forces targeted three different locations in Tehran. Following the strikes, thick smoke was seen rising in different parts of the city. Iranian sources also confirmed that multiple missiles landed near Shahrah University in Tehran.
