Peshawar (October 11, 2025): The spokesperson of the Governor House has confirmed that the resignation of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has been received.
According to the Governor House spokesperson, the resignation was received today at 2:30 PM. After verification and legal checking, the matter will be processed according to the constitutional procedure. The Governor House said that all legal and constitutional rules will be followed carefully, and the issue will be handled in a transparent way.
The spokesperson added that a handwritten resignation letter from Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur was also delivered to the Governor House.
The resignation was submitted by Musaddiq Abbasi, the Chief Minister’s Special Assistant on Anti-Corruption. The caretaker staff at the Governor House received the resignation and gave an official receipt.
A few days earlier, Ali Amin Gandapur had announced that he would resign as Chief Minister of KP on the instructions of PTI founder Imran Khan.
He shared his resignation on social media, saying that following Imran Khan’s order was an honour for him. Gandapur said he had worked hard to improve the province’s financial stability and faced the challenge of terrorism with full determination over the past year.
In his post, Ali Amin Gandapur also mentioned that he had started several major development projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He expressed his gratitude to his cabinet members, assembly colleagues, and bureaucracy for their support.
At the end of his tweet, he wrote that he had served the people with honesty and said,
“Pakistan Zindabad, PTI Paindabad.”
