Rawalpindi: Security forces have carried out successful operations in Balochistan, killing 41 Indian-sponsored terrorists during actions against extremist elements.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces conducted effective operations against Fitna-al-Khawarij and Indian-backed militants in different areas of Balochistan.
The ISPR said that an intelligence-based operation was carried out in Harnai after reports of terrorist presence. During the operation, 41 terrorists were neutralized.
Out of these, 30 Indian-sponsored Khawarij terrorists were killed in Harnai. A large quantity of weapons and explosive material was also recovered from the militants.
In a separate operation, security forces targeted a terrorist hideout in Panjgur. During the intelligence-based operation, 11 Khawarij terrorists were killed.
The ISPR added that money looted during a bank robbery on December 15 was recovered from the terrorists killed in Harnai. Meanwhile, the militants eliminated in Panjgur were involved in multiple acts of sabotage in the area.
The spokesperson said that sanitization operations are ongoing in both Panjgur and Harnai to completely clear the areas of terrorist elements. Due to the professional actions of the forces, the law-and-order situation in the region has improved.
Security forces successfully foiled terrorist plans in Balochistan and reaffirmed their commitment to protecting the lives and property of the people.
