Man Kills Wife After Falling in Love With His Mother-in-Law

(October 8, 2025): A shocking incident took place in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, where a man killed his wife after falling in love with his mother-in-law.

According to Indian media, the murder happened in the Ganj district. The strange case of a son-in-law falling in love with his mother-in-law caught everyone’s attention after their pictures went viral on social media platforms.

Earlier this week, police received information about the suspicious death of a married woman in Sudhpur. When officers reached the spot, they found the body of a 20-year-old woman named Shivani inside her home.

Investigations showed that Shivani was married to a man named Pramod in 2018. Family members accused Pramod of having an affair with his mother-in-law, which often caused serious fights in the family.

Police officials said that these arguments had been going on for a long time. According to the family, Shivani was repeatedly beaten because of this affair and the conflicts it caused.

Just two days before her body was found, Pramod and Shivani had another big fight. During that argument, Pramod killed her.

After the murder, Pramod and some of his family members allegedly ran away from the house. Police are now searching for them.

Authorities also said that after the murder, some inappropriate photos of Pramod and his mother-in-law started spreading on social media. Based on a complaint from Shivani’s relatives, police have filed a murder case against Pramod and other members of his family.
