Mourning Rallies Held Across Pakistan as 9th of Muharram Observed with Respect

Today, the 9th of Muharram is being observed across the country to remember the great sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and his companions. They gave their lives in Karbala around 1,400 years ago to stand up for truth and justice, as Reported By Save Our Pak News Channel on Saturday.

In all big and small cities of Pakistan, people are attending majalis and Tazia and Alam processions are being held.

Security has been made very strong everywhere to prevent any problem or danger.

In Islamabad, following the order of Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi, a mobile control room has been set up for the first time. This control room can work even without mobile signals, making sure everything stays under control during Ashura.

Lahore: Processions and Majalis

In Lahore, the main procession of the 9th Muharram started from Pando Street.

Allama Qamar Abbas Mujahid shared the painful story of what happened to Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions in Karbala.

Another procession was held from Qasre Batool Imam Bargah in Shadman Colony. A majlis was also organized there and many mourners joined.

Maulana Syed Sajjad Haider Naqvi gave a speech about the high status of Ahle Bait in Islam.

At Imambargah Atia Ahle Bait on Nicholson Road, another majlis was held.

In his speech, Allama Absar Naqvi spoke about the great sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), his family, and his friends.

Multan: Processions and Majalis

In Multan, 80 processions are being taken out today and 166 majalis are being held.

The main procession started from Imambargah Hussaini in Mumtazabad.

Another one will begin from Jinnah Street, Tughluq Road at 9 PM tonight.

One more procession is planned from Imam Bargah Jamal Shah also at 9 PM tonight.

A procession has already been taken out from Suraj Miani, Chah Mamoole Wala.

Another will start from Darbar Sakhi Sultan, Suraj Miani, at 8 PM.

For safety, 3,716 police officers and 1,275 volunteers are on duty throughout the city.

Karachi: Processions and Majalis

In Karachi, the main procession started from Nishtar Park after a majlis was held there.

Allama Shehenshah Hussain Naqvi gave a speech to the mourners.

Namaz-e-Zohrain will be offered at Imambargah Ali Raza.

Strict security is in place. A monitoring room has been set up in Soldier Bazaar.

After the prayers, the procession will pass through Numaish, Sadar, Radio Pakistan, Jamia Cloth, and Kharadar, and end at Husainia Iranian.

A procession also took place from Bab-e-Fatima Imambargah, where Maulana Muhammad Ali Naqvi addressed the people.

Police and Rangers are stationed around the area to make sure everything stays peaceful.

For safety, the road from Liaquat No.10 to Teen Hatti has been closed.

Bahawalpur: Mourning Processions

In Bahawalpur, both majalis and processions are taking place in memory of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA).

The main procession started from Beri Wala Chowk, Shahdara, and will end at the Shia Jamia Mosque near Zanana Hospital at 4 PM.

Uch Sharif: Mourning for Hazrat Abbas Alamdar (AS)

In Uch Sharif, a special procession to remember Hazrat Abbas Alamdar (AS) was taken out from Imambargah Mohalla Khawajgan.

Rohri: Historic Tazia Procession

In Rohri, a Nodhala Tazia procession was taken out from the 550-year-old Karabala-e-Muala, continuing a long tradition.

Mianwali: Procession on Boats

In Mianwali, a very unique tradition was followed where mourners took out a procession on boats. This has been done for the past 100 years.

The procession starts from Marri Indus and ends at Wandha Kakrran, where Nyaz is distributed. Then the participants go back to Marri, and this cycle continues all day.

Police and rescue teams are on full alert. All mourners are told to wear life jackets for safety on the boats.

Mityari: Walking on Fire

In Mityari, mourners dug a 20-feet-deep trench, filled it with burning wood, and then walked on the fire to honor Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions.

At the same time, they beat their chests in sorrow. Strong security was arranged to keep everything safe.

Jhang: Viewing of Old Tazia

In Dabakran, Jhang, mourners gathered to see the old Tazia, a part of a long tradition in the city.
