Islamabad (October 31, 2025): The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has started an online Nikah (marriage) registration system in selected Union Councils. This new service aims to make it easier for citizens to access NADRA’s services without long visits or paperwork.
According to NADRA’s statement, people can now register their Nikah through the Pak ID mobile app. After registration, they can download their official marriage certificate directly from the ID Wallet section of the app.
At the first stage, this service has been launched in three districts of Pakistan:
- Chakwal – 71 Union Councils
- Jhelum – 44 Union Councils
- Nankana Sahib – 65 Union Councils
NADRA said that this service will soon be expanded to all districts across Pakistan in different phases.
Earlier, NADRA had already made life easier for citizens by starting online registration for births and deaths, removing the need to visit Union Council offices again and again.
With this new digital step, NADRA continues to move Pakistan towards a Digital Future. Now, people can register births and deaths online from the comfort of their homes using the Pak ID mobile app.
In the beginning, this service for births and deaths is also available in these districts:
- Chakwal (71 Union Councils)
- Jhelum (44 Union Councils)
- Nankana Sahib (65 Union Councils)
This new initiative shows NADRA’s strong commitment to making public services faster, easier, and more digital for everyone in Pakistan.
