New Details Emerge from Istanbul Talks Mediated by Turkey and Qatar

New information has started coming out about the peace talks held in Istanbul, where Turkey and Qatar acted as mediators. According to reports, the Afghan delegation was pushed to agree on a temporary peace understanding during the discussions.

As per the details, under the mediation of Turkey and Qatar, a meeting was held between Pakistan and the Afghan Taliban government in Istanbul. Both sides agreed to continue the ceasefire and to set up a monitoring and verification system to maintain peace.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement that if any side violates the agreement, a penalty will be applied. It also mentioned that further decisions about the ceasefire will be discussed in the next meeting, which will be held on November 6 in Istanbul.

The statement added that during the talks, both Turkey and Qatar appreciated the active participation of both countries and promised to keep working together for lasting peace and stability in the region.

According to the Turkish Foreign Ministry, meetings between representatives from Islamabad, Kabul, Ankara, and Doha were held from October 25 to 30. Sources said that more details about the Istanbul peace talks are slowly coming out.

The Pakistani delegation showed strong arguments, logic, and patience during the negotiations. With wisdom and confidence, they stood firm on national interests and made their points clear. Reports suggest that the Afghan side was eventually forced to accept a temporary peace understanding.
