It is often said that if someone has true courage, determination, and a strong will to achieve something, then nothing is impossible. A brave girl with only one leg has proven this by surprising everyone with her strength, as Reported By Save Our Pak News Channel on Tuesday.
Imama Rubab, a courageous daughter of Pakistan from a village near Chishtian in Punjab, didn’t let her disability hold her back. Instead, she decided to help others and become a source of support for them.
While talking to ARY News, she shared that a while ago, she lost her leg in a road accident.
Imama, who has one leg, said that she completed her Master’s degree from Bahauddin Zakariya University. She explained that women already face many problems when it comes to getting education, and it becomes even harder when someone is living with a disability.
She said there are many women in our society whose voices go unheard. So, she thought, why not help such women? That’s when she joined a university society focused on supporting them.
This society listens to problems faced by these women and tries to find solutions. These include issues like domestic violence, sexual harassment, and more. Many of these women can’t talk to anyone about what they’re going through. Even their families and society ignore them, which makes them feel broken inside.
The society helps these women understand how to live confidently, raise their voice for their rights, and also provides them with education and skills training.
Imama Rubab also shared that besides painting, she loves singing a little and tries to enjoy it in her free time.
