Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has successfully completed his important three-day official visit to Iran, where he held key meetings with top leadership.
According to a statement released by ISPR, the visit included high-level discussions focused on regional security, the Middle East situation, and strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
During his stay in Tehran, Field Marshal Asim Munir had a busy schedule and met several senior Iranian officials. These included Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, along with the country’s parliamentary speaker, foreign minister, and senior military leadership.
The ISPR stated that both sides had detailed discussions on key issues and agreed on the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the region. They also exchanged views on the current security situation and ways to improve cooperation.
Field Marshal Asim Munir highlighted the need for peaceful solutions to regional conflicts. He stressed the importance of dialogue and reducing tensions, especially in the Middle East. He also expressed Pakistan’s commitment to playing an active role in promoting peace in the region.
At the end of the visit, he thanked the Iranian leadership and people for their warm hospitality. He also conveyed good wishes from the people and leadership of Pakistan and reaffirmed the commitment to further strengthen relations between the two brotherly Islamic countries in the future.
