Islamabad: A high-level technical team from Pakistan has arrived in Kabul to hold discussions about improving Pakistan’s visa system in Afghanistan.
According to details, the delegation includes officials from the Ministry of Interior, other concerned departments, and members of the technical team.
Diplomatic sources said that the Pakistani team came to Afghanistan to review and improve the visa system for Afghan citizens. The delegation will visit the Pakistani Embassy in Kabul to study and discuss possible reforms in the visa process.
The visit of this Pakistani team was planned earlier, before the recent tension and border clashes between Pakistan and Afghanistan. Sources confirmed that this visit has no link with the recent clashes, temporary ceasefire, or any peace talks between the two countries.
Officials also mentioned that discussions will include improving online visa services and the biometric system, along with other technical matters.
The main goal of this visit is to make the visa process transparent, faster, and more efficient — so that travel and communication between the people of both countries can become easier and smoother.
