Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved a 10% increase in salaries for government employees. During an important meeting of the federal cabinet, the Prime Minister rejected the earlier proposal of a 6% raise, Reported by Save our Pak new channal.
The finance ministry had suggested only a 6% increase, but Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif did not agree. He said that government employees deserve a 10% raise, and the cabinet accepted his decision.
Along with the salary increase, the Prime Minister also approved a 7% raise in pensions for retired government employees.
These decisions are expected to bring some relief to government workers and pensioners who have been facing financial pressure due to inflation.
