Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with the President of Azerbaijan to discuss various important matters. During their talk, both sides agreed to increase cooperation in trade and investment between the two countries, as Reported By Save Our Pak News Channel On Friday.
The meeting took place in Baku, where PM Shehbaz Sharif met President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan during the ECO summit. The two leaders talked in a friendly environment and shared their thoughts on working more closely together.
PM Shehbaz Sharif congratulated the President of Azerbaijan for successfully hosting the 17th ECO summit. He also thanked him for supporting Pakistan during times of conflict with India.
The Prime Minister added that Pakistan has also supported Azerbaijan during tough times. Both leaders expressed satisfaction over the recent progress made in mutual investment talks.
They agreed to further improve trade and investment relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan. They also shared hopes for stronger economic partnership and highlighted Azerbaijan’s interest in investing more in Pakistan.
PM Shehbaz Sharif is currently in Azerbaijan to attend the ECO Heads of State Summit.
