Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is all set to visit Azerbaijan to take part in the 17th summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), according to Foreign Office spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan, as Reported By Save Our Pak News Channel On Wednesday.
He said the summit will be held from July 3 to 4 in Baku, the capital of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will lead the Pakistani delegation at the event.
This year’s summit is based on the theme: “New ECO Vision for a Sustainable and Climate-Resilient Future.” During his speech, the Prime Minister will share Pakistan’s views on important regional and global challenges. He will also reaffirm Pakistan’s commitment to the ECO vision.
Shehbaz Sharif is expected to highlight the need for stronger trade relations, better transport connectivity, energy cooperation, and sustainable development among ECO member states.
During the event, the Prime Minister will also hold bilateral meetings with other leaders from ECO countries. According to the Foreign Office, these meetings will focus on topics of mutual interest and cooperation.
