Public Holiday Announced in Narowal on November 1 | Citizens Get Two Days Off

Narowal: The district administration has announced a local public holiday in Narowal on November 1. Because Sunday is already an off day, people in the district will now enjoy two holidays in a row.

According to details, the Punjab district of Narowal will have a general holiday on November 1 to celebrate the annual Urs of Hazrat Peer Syed Jamaat Ali Shah Lasani (رحمة اللہ علیہ).

Deputy Commissioner Syed Hasan Raza has issued an official notification regarding this announcement.

Officials said that since Sunday is already a holiday, citizens will get a total of two days off throughout the district.

The Urs events will be held at Alipur Saidan Sharif, where a large number of devotees from across the country will arrive to pay respect to the great saint.

The district administration has completed all arrangements for visitors — including accommodation, food, and cleanliness — to ensure smooth organization and comfort during the Urs celebrations.

Strict security measures have been taken. Police, Rescue 1122, and Health Department staff have been given special duties and will remain active 24 hours a day.

During the Urs, there will be Quran recitations, Naat sessions, and spiritual gatherings. Famous religious scholars and mashaikh will highlight the life and spiritual services of Hazrat Peer Syed Jamaat Ali Shah (رحمة اللہ علیہ).

Special facilities for food, clean drinking water, ablution, first aid, and rest areas have also been arranged for the Urs participants.

The district administration has requested citizens to cooperate with the authorities and help maintain peace and discipline during the Urs events.
