Dubai: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the nominees for the Player of the Month award.
According to reports, Pakistan’s talented batter Sahibzada Farhan has been nominated for the ICC Player of the Month after his impressive performances in recent matches.
Farhan delivered outstanding performances during the ICC T20 World Cup. He finished the tournament as the top scorer with 383 runs, scoring at an impressive strike rate of 160.25. During the event, he also smashed two centuries, which played a major role in Pakistan’s strong campaign.
The ICC also included England’s Will Jacks and USA’s Shadley van Schalkwyk among the nominees for this month’s award.
It is worth mentioning that earlier this month, the ICC had also announced the nominations for the Player of the Tournament in the T20 World Cup. Pakistan’s opener Sahibzada Farhan was among the players shortlisted for that honor as well.
The Pakistani opener scored 383 runs in seven matches during the tournament, which was played in India and Sri Lanka. He maintained an impressive average of 76.60 and set a new record for the highest number of runs in a single edition of the T20 World Cup.
Farhan’s remarkable batting performances have made him one of the most talked-about players of the tournament and a strong contender for the ICC Player of the Month award.
