Saudi Arabia and Pakistan ‘One Front’ Against Any Aggressor, Says Saudi Defense Minister

Saudi Arabia’s Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman on Thursday again showed the strong friendship between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. He said both countries stand as one team against anyone who tries to harm them.

On social media platform X, Prince Khalid bin Salman wrote: “KSA and Pakistan. One front against any aggressor. Always and forever.”

This message came right after Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman signed a new “Strategic Mutual Defense Agreement” on Wednesday. The deal clearly says that if anyone attacks one country, it will be counted as an attack on both.

A joint statement from the Prime Minister’s Office explained how important this agreement is. It said the deal shows both nations’ strong will to improve their security and to bring peace and safety to the region and the world. It also aims to grow defense cooperation between the two countries and build stronger joint protection against any attack. The agreement clearly states that any aggression against one country will be treated as aggression against both.

Both leaders also talked about the long and historic relations between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, and they discussed many topics of common interest.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif thanked Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman for the warm welcome and kind hospitality given to him and his team.

When Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s plane entered Saudi airspace, Royal Saudi Air Force F-15 fighter jets flew alongside his aircraft as a sign of respect and friendship.
