Saudi Arabia has taken a major humanitarian step by distributing 4,000 relief kits to homeless people in Azad Kashmir. This help will benefit more than 28,000 affected people. The effort was carried out by King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) in seven districts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. These families had suffered from natural disasters and internal displacement, as Reported By Save Our Pak News Channel on Thursday.
The relief kits were distributed in cooperation with the State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) of Azad Kashmir. The most affected areas received the aid, including:
- Muzaffarabad: 325 kits
- Jhelum Valley: 542 kits
- Neelum: 433 kits
- Kotli: 766 kits
- Bhimbher: 151 kits
- Poonch: 881 kits
- Haveli: 902 kits
Each relief kit had basic emergency items like temporary shelter materials, solar panels with LED lights, warm blankets, plastic mats, kitchen tools, water coolers, and disinfectant soap. These items were meant to give quick help and long-term support to families in need.
The project was completed with the support of NDMA, SDMA, and the local partner Hayat Foundation. Around 28,155 people directly benefited from this initiative. This is proof of KSrelief’s growing humanitarian work in Pakistan.
The Director General of SDMA, Sardar Waheed, attended the distribution event in Muzaffarabad. He praised Saudi Arabia and KSrelief for their quick and effective help. He said this support shows the strong bond between Saudi Arabia and the people of Azad Kashmir. The aid reached people with transparency, effectiveness, and dignity.
This humanitarian activity reflects KSrelief’s commitment to disaster response and recovery in affected areas. The organization is playing an important role in reducing human suffering in Pakistan and promises to keep giving organized, need-based support to those in trouble.
