Karachi: The Passport Department has cleared up all the rumors spreading on social media about the Pakistani passport. Officials said that people should not believe fake news or propaganda campaigns.
According to the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports, all the rumors going around on social media about changes to the Pakistani passport are completely false.
The spokesperson of the Passport Department said that no changes have been made to the front cover of the Pakistani passport. The pictures being shared on social media are fake and misleading.
He also said that citizens should act responsibly and avoid believing or sharing false news. Only a few security features have been upgraded to meet modern standards, but there has been no change in the design or cover page of the passport.
The department has also warned that strict legal action will be taken against those spreading fake news about the national passport.
The spokesperson made it clear that the national passport represents Pakistan’s identity and honor, and spreading wrong information about it is an irresponsible act.
