Sudden Building Collapse in Karachi Feels Like an Earthquake, Says Eyewitness

Karachi: In the Lyari area of Karachi, a tragic incident happened when a six-storey residential building collapsed. An eyewitness said they suddenly heard a loud crashing sound, and it felt like an earthquake had hit the area, as Reported By Save Our Pak News Channel On Friday.

According to details, the building had already been in bad shape, and the eyewitness shared that they had moved out two years ago because the structure was getting weaker and more dangerous.

The eyewitness added, “It felt like the ground shook. We heard loud screams from people nearby. It was a terrifying moment.”

It is important to note that this six-floor building collapsed in Lyari’s Baghdadi area, leading to the death of seven people who were trapped under the rubble. Eight others, including four women, were injured.

One of the most shocking moments was when a 3-month-old baby was pulled out alive from the debris. However, rescue work is still going on to search for more people believed to be trapped under the rubble.

According to the police, more than 30 people may still be under the debris. Rescue teams, along with heavy machinery, are continuing their efforts to save as many lives as possible.

Officials have said that the collapse of the weak building also damaged nearby structures. Cracks appeared in the walls of surrounding buildings, and they have now been evacuated to avoid more danger.
