Trump announces plan to block ‘Third World countries’ from entering the United States

Washington (28 November 2025): US President Donald Trump has announced that he plans to close America’s doors to what he called “Third World countries.”

According to a report by Reuters, Trump wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social, that he will permanently stop migration from these countries. He also said that all the millions of illegal immigrants who entered during Joe Biden’s presidency will be removed.

Trump claimed that the number of foreign nationals in the US has reached almost 55 million. He said that a large number of migrants are surviving on American taxpayers’ money, which is putting pressure on the country’s social system.

He added, “Schools are failing, crime is rising, and hospitals are overcrowded. Ilhan Omar herself came illegally and still complains.”

Trump did not mention any specific country, nor did he explain what exactly he meant by “Third World countries” or what type of future ban he was referring to.

The White House and the US Citizenship and Immigration Services did not immediately comment when contacted by Reuters.

Trump’s statement came shortly after news emerged that a National Guard officer was shot and killed near the White House. Investigators say the attack was carried out by an Afghan national.

Before this, officials from the Department of Homeland Security had said that Trump ordered a broad review of asylum cases approved under the Biden administration, along with a review of green cards that were issued to citizens of 19 different countries.
