Karachi (29 November 2025): The UAE Consul General has released an important clarification regarding the recent rumors about visa restrictions for Pakistani citizens.
According to Consul General Bakhit Atiq Al-Rumaithi, relations between Pakistan and the UAE are strong and based on mutual trust. He clearly stated that the news about a “visa ban” is completely false.
Speaking to ARY News, the UAE Consul General said that visas for Pakistanis are being issued without any interruption. He added that some elements are trying to spread baseless rumours about a supposed visa shutdown.
He further said that the UAE’s visa center in Karachi — the largest in Asia — is fully active, and staff members are serving Pakistani applicants every day. For certain categories of visas, he explained, applicants simply need to book an appointment beforehand.
The Consul General also clarified that the UAE continues to fully support Pakistanis seeking visas for medical treatment, educational seminars, and similar purposes.
